Ode to the bright one (Free verse) by tre
You visited me today, I knew you would. Will you stay long this time?...for me? Our unbreakable bond. Oh, how you cradle me. Warm my body and toast my soul. The transformation happens almost immediately. I sweat out toxins of frusturation, pain, lonliness. I never feel alone with you, my faithful companion. You would never hurt me, your powerful heat and continuous warmth. Itchy grass tickles my legs, beads of sweat run down my back, chaos surrounds me. I ignore it all, to be with you. I can be silent, no meaningless chit-chat. No drama, no questions. Just me and you. I dreamt of you those long, cold nights, when friends were cruel and I was alone. I knew you would come back to me, I didn't worry. I know sometimes you have to leave, but I will always wait for you. I will always wait for you.

I think your previous work is better... you're trying too hard to be deep. Loosen up and let things flow; if they're deep they're deep, but don't force it :-)
