machiavellian (Free verse) by jsd
“park your car and don’t go too far” i’ll bring my sheepish smile and a silent kiss maybe you’d bring your guitar we’ll take an hour or two to reminisce swimming through a sea of traps dodging familiar faces and dangerous places fearing your divided heart might collapse you let me heal you in hurried embraces and they’d all call you selfish they’d call me machiavellian but you’re my favorite wish and you’re my perfect chameleon

Up the ladder: From Womb To Wood
Down the ladder: you
