The Wake of Your Memory (Free verse) by Richard
I know that I am incomplete, So I toil through this life alone. I had tasted that fruit we call Love, And I enjoyed the nectar of that emotion immensely. I resigned myself to a shadowed half-life of what I could be, Forsaking risk and involvement, dwelling in loneliness and isolation. Is it no wonder that your eyes, and even now just the thought of you causes me untold misery? My sigh's echo within the hollow shell of my Soul Reverberates painfully against the walls of my solitude. I knew about the thought of what I'm missing inside my heart. But until I saw you and met you, I never felt the pain or desired that Life that many dream of. That Life I would have with you, That dream beyond my reach, That Life I let die... But, I will always remember- The wake of your memory.

Of the poems you recently submitted, I like this best, especially the last few lines. Like the others, I think it's too wordy, too cliched, but good
Omit "untold."
