Tomorrow (Free verse) by phbiscuit
A short distance from forever, Farther than the furthest fields Growing beyond our reach, Filled with candy cane crops Sweet as the drowning sugar stones Dissolving in the sea That washes over our feet. Rooting us through and through By mud or dirt To the eternity that exists In burning fire and unforgiving birth. Between the sky and Between the earth We float, With gentle exhaust, Allowing us to relax. Relieved that even if we Cannot dream and see The future that hangs above everything, We can believe And be seen-- Through even that firmest fire Biting the entire world Like my teeth Frozen in the peach You gave me, saying: "This is the sweetest, The sweetest today" --By the hands that hold and swing Relentlessly.

Up the ladder: Waste Replacing
Down the ladder: Why I took my ears off

"We float,
With gentle exhaust,
Allowing us to relax.
Relieved "

sounds somehow biological.

I like the aliteration.
