Walter (Free verse) by Schrodinger's Cat
Needles of light stab through playful leaves, Gentle music played by a gentle breeze; Colors stand as a reminder of Summer’s end. Observe it all, be amazed by what you see; Do as I sometimes do, Learn from my mistakes. A lopsided friendship, junior and senior; Lessons taught, some learned. Intentional distance (to lessen the blow?), A sinister plan: For self alone the violent hand. The mist reaches up with tenuous fingers; A pallid sky, cold to view, not a breath to disturb black waters; Ice still lingers just inches below. Youth and innocence faded from the downward glance.

Up the ladder: The Stickmen of Fools
Down the ladder: Lunacy
