The Gale (Free verse) by KathrynR
The gale is vicious The gale is malicious And is going to wreck the town With his gusty winds. The frost has come to help him And has covered all the village in a candyfloss blanket of ice Ready to attack The gale is blowing, hard and fearsome Blowing hinges clean off doors Sneezing on leaves upon the trees The frost has bought his allie the snow To trick the Autumn season into believing it is winter Covering the paths with crunchy snow But now it's nearly morning And the sun is coming out To melt all the badness away And leave the Autumn morning in peace

Up the ladder: The Darkness of Eternity
Down the ladder: Simile
