If Words Could Explain... (Free verse) by Blindpoetry
We are alone
Listening to the radio at the pub
Weâre banging our heads
Never worried about losing a beat
Weâve listened to this song many times before
Steer away from the darkening hall
Itâs to dark to see; stay in the light room
We now laugh
Weâre laughing so hard that we are crying
Let our smiles drain the tears of joy
Let us sit on the branch
The tree is too high so weâll take the low one
Weâll eat the cookies that it grows
To keep us hyper
Or laziness will make us fall
Youâre like a jelly donut
You look so good
But the inside is better
The delicious taste takes my breathe away
Now I must dance for air
