To a Comet Passing (Free verse) by Frass
Sometimes I pull in the net of my reach and glide like a rock fish behind the stones of my hide tough and glinting dazzling... fearfully. Sometimes I snap crackle burn once a pilot light now a pyre as I turn on a flametip from within... orange white carbonizing seed. Sometimes I speak with lizard lips... yet this is now and will be forever facets of this universe glittering everywhere eventually outshine me. Today I... will change.
