To Those Who Have Died Today (Free verse) by AnotherNothing
To those who have died today I make a mockery of your death I fritter what you have surrendered I waste what little I have left. I sleep as you are buried Repine as your family cries As your ceaseless ceiling closes I neglect the stunning skies. I have never known your face I will never know you name Ignorant of your love and loss Your deaths are all the same. Oblivious to your death And the life which I ignore I forget the act of breathing Until I breath no more.
