Miss Understanding (Other) by OneFingerAnswer
The path to Hell is paved with good intent And old wives' tales serve to tell what is right Sleeping dogs lay outside my tent While inside I avoid a pointless fight Who I am she does not know I have not told and will not tell I will not let it show So I buy whatever she has to sell In her limits she knows all But to say that she is correct That takes oh so much gall With experience so little and select I don't care to open her mind Let someone else make that crack I'll not be the one to break that bind Someone else might have the caring which I lack So she can talk on about those groups Some are ones to which I belong Pretend her knowledge swoops And babble all day long No, I know she means well But why must she say What makes her dwell On the evils of all that is gay?

Up the ladder: wolves
Down the ladder: Lullaby

I think it is one of the great tragedies of society that on the playground the word "gay" is synonymous with "filthy urchin". Can't children find something better to do during playtime than tearing madly about the place calling each other "gay"? It's extremely damaging because some of those children will actually be homos and, before you know it, they'll be taken in by all the hype and might start to believe that there is something "filthy" and "urchin-like" about being a "raving bender". Which there isn't. Thanks and God Bless.

Yeah that happens but I never really had a problem with it. This is about my aunt who is just closed minded and set in her ways. I spent a month at her house and although she's a really nice lady she likes to talk about things she doesn't know about. She gets most of her (mis)information from church groups and neighbors. It's sad but doesn't do any harm so I'm just not bothering with it.
