For Katrina (Free verse) by BiggRobb
Constantly wanting, but never acting Hiding behind the shadows of laughter, I can never get any closer. When will I find the courage? Even if I find it, I won’t know how to use it So inexperienced, it eats me alive Left behind from the crowds They move ahead and I lag behind. Feelings grow stronger everyday, The more I see, the more I want. Reminded of you all of the time, How to deal? I can’t look you in the face. I walk behind you, thinking of what to say The words come, but my mouth won’t speak them. You turn the corner and leave my sight Another chance missed, why won’t I try? Constantly wanting, but never acting

Up the ladder: Redemption on the mat.
Down the ladder: hopscotch rocks

Constantly, never acting
Hiding
I, can, never, get,
courage?
Even if I find it, I won’t know how to use it
So inexperienced eats
behind crowds
I lag, they move
everyday,
more, more I want
time Reminded all of you
How to deal?
I can't look in your face.
I walk behind
won't speak, The words come
you leave
why won't I chance Another missed?
Constantly...
