Free reign (Free verse) by INTRANSIT
Let me be a horse Let me from this stable of redundancy to run- mane combing the wind. Let me shun the ground thorns that slow. Zig, zag, jump chasms because I can. Let me decide direction by what life passes my nostrils. Let the sun and moon dictate my heart life- let one day run into the next. Let me be your horse. Not to help you plow, or pull your cart, but to help you forward. Nudge you, when needed. Walk with you to calm away the freeze-burned day. If you need, lie next to my body heat just for the night. I'm always just over that ridge, and I can run. Let me be (my)horse.

Up the ladder: Drying, Cracked Roots

I love the evolution of the horse and the desire of the horse/narrator and the way their changing is juxtaposed against the constant use of the words "let" and "horse"- which also change in meaning. I can't even suggest any improvements.
