Leaving in the Morning (Free verse) by leviathan
Say hello to Saint Peter for me I've come to understand that you are destined to see him this morning When the journey is done and at Heaven's gate you arrive Tell the angels not to wait up for me for I won't be following you this time As you are taking the grand tour, give this messege to Jesus I'm entrusting her to you, dear Lord as I myself am still merely a fetus I cannot devour deadly disease the way you can I cannot give sight to the blind with a wave of my hand I am not yet a man for there is too much I do not understand I have no faith Lord, and yet I love this girl She has been my anything and everything But as strong as I wish I was I cannot save her And now I must believe that somehow you can.

an unborn child talking to its mother before some fatalistic decision? Intriguing - and I like the voice.

a bit dull

a baby devouring a disease inside his mother, a morbid violence, poetry!
