Fading Freindships (Free verse) by BuffysBack419
School starts, Old friendships fade, Like memories of later days, Miss the people you love and trust, People warned you that this would happen, You thought your friendships were strong, No it would never happen to you, But it did. It still hurts, As you watch your friends drift slowly away, You look one last time into the pool of memories, Shed one last tear, And walk away.

Up the ladder: Nowhere but now
Down the ladder: Saint Peggy Seeger

Amazing. Simply amazing. Hi, I'm -=Dark_Angel=-. This poem really speaks to me -- and I'm not just saying that!!1 How did you come up with the idea for this piece? I'm especially intrigued as to the meaning of the unconventional spelling of "friendships" in the title -- What are you saying here? That your friendships don't quite fit the conventional, mainstream definition? Excellent work -- 10!

Stunning. This piece works really well when recited in a heavy Indian accent. -10-
