First Time In A Long Time (Free verse) by EAger to Offend
Plugged it into The electric canal Slippery Treachery Setting the fine hairs taut Like bear traps. We’ve been so busy And somewhat at odds That doing this Now Is a shock. Like the time I was Stringing a guitar The unclipped wires found An outlet I clenched like a virgin, By the time it was done The wires had crumbled In my burned hands.

Up the ladder: It's lonely at the top

You play the guitar? You must be very creative.

Savory Display. Now I have a craving for BBQ. Smells like the work of a bovie wafting through an OR hallway.

Quite witty and well done. Maybe there should be a surgeon general's warning on the packages of guitar strings?

Rarely. I don't often read what you write. This was worth the side trip. I'll swing by again sometime.
