Avalanche (Free verse) by dragonfly
Time treaded soft as cotton during those autumn nights when he and I would sink under the currents rarely coming back up for air And all my defenses tumbled down like an avalanche burying all my animosity as I would wake at his side Autumn took me under its wing and I wore it like a smile on my face I became aware right then and there for what misfortune sows his simple touch would repair And all my defenses tumble down like an avalanche burying all my resentment as I'm waking at his side

Up the ladder: Detroit
