Art of Suffering (Free verse) by loneshadow29
Pale canvas running red Giving life to the pain inside Tearing at my flesh Just as you tore into my heart Ripping and clawing Cutting away all the anguish You have put me through My life seeping from my wounds Washing away all of the sorrow Do you find enjoyment In all my suffering? Do you like watching As my life falls apart? Pulling out a silver dagger Returning the mark of sorrow To its rightful place Tears rolling down my cheek The pain so unbearable now But paling in comparison To the pain you put me through As I gaze at my masterpiece of pain and suffering the agony of heartache given life for all to see and know staring at you with such distain you like what you’ve created? Can you see my pain? Can you feel it?

Up the ladder: a gin blossom blossoms
Down the ladder: Misery

A mixed bag here. Its heartfelt and easy to relate too but it offers little imagination for such a saturated theme thats been done 1000s of times. I actually did like this though, not all poems need to be perfect, this says what it needs too with clarity and basic expression ....7
