i want to see to see the world thru the eyes of a child i want to block out all the ugliness the sadness and the cold reality i want to see the pretty things the things that make me smile i don't want to feel the pain all the confusion i hate to see your expressionless face when you lie to me you make me believe that you were innocent your fabricated lies woven into the beautiful picture i don't want to see your tauntings behind me your stifled laugh the evil gleam in your eyes i don't want to see the glimmer in your eyes and to hear your uncontrolled sobs your plastic smile you made me believe that you are my friend and then all of the truth they came crashing down onto my fragile frame all i wanted is your sincere smile it sends a heartwarming feeling through my body your genuine laughter makes me glow inside i want to see your promises kept i want to feel your warm hug i want to see you when i'm hurt not only when eveything's going fine is that too much to ask for maybe it is i just wish i just want to see the world thru the eyes of a child.
