But drifting farther, farther away
Im waiting to see what the future will bring
Will I sing like the birds in the trees
Or sing like the wind over the seas
This is confusing as confusing can be
Waiting for you to come after me
Just waiting here by myself
Staring into space not believing what I see
Why was it me?
Still drifting farther, farther way
Now I will turn and leave today
Not waiting anymore
Iâll find someone new
Not waiting for you to tell me the truth
