fallen angel (Free verse) by josh_5o
As i walked on a cold, lonely day, I saw an angel upon my way. but this angel was different than most, it had fallen from that heavenly host. There she was lying on the ground except for sobs, she made not a sound. Her wings were tore, fly on her own, she could do no more. I thought about passing her by, but then... I looked into her eyes. And I saw something that droped my jaw for the first time I saw beauty I saw love I saw dreams I saw her. And to myself I said, "I will help this angel everyone else has left for dead." I will give her my heart, and let her take it apart; tear it down the middle, into two seperate parts, and the two pieces will replace the old wings, all so she can once again soar above the stars. And with my heart on her back, she can build a castle on the clouds, and fill in all the holes in the sky where stars lack, and when her dreams come true, all she will say is, "how?" All this I thought as I looked on that angel on the ground. I have nothing to give her, but my heart. And my love, I pray, will never depart... And so if true, together we will fly and when we realize that we are only at the beginning, we look into each others eyes and say with a nod, "together we touched the face of God."

Up the ladder: Where are you Eric?
Down the ladder: Kiss Me
