Cloak Of Love (Free verse) by brokenwing Does time not erase the memory,
destroying all the fragments
of a shattered dream?
The picture was so perfect
so undeniably unique.
Every moment,
Every encounter,
Every spoken word,
Every intimate gesture,
was sewn into the fabric
of a mismatched cloak of love.
But, no matter how strong the thread
one tug,
one snip,
one freyed edge,
would be the undoing.....
And so it was!!
you held the scissors,
I wore the cloak
and time refused to mend.....

All your poemes are about love. Why are so many poemes about love? Do people write poemes about their other obsessive-compulsive disorders? No. Well, they should. It would be good.
love IS.
i have known despair; we smile every time we meet. and i always lose. i no longer lay the blame for my own limitations on love. we are love. we often forget this. so, in that respect, we are contained by love because we are no more and no less than it. Thats why -=Dark_Angel=- so just think on Besides other topics aren't super and lovely enough to be made into poems, only love is truely poetic!!!!!

Why can't all my poems be about love?..I'm glad people have the ability to write about other things that they find worthy, but there is no law that says that someone has to cover every aspect of life in their writings...it would be like telling Stephen King to write a mills and boon book because you don't like reading horror. I appreciate your comment, but i'm a sentimentalist and don't see myself changing anytime soon...
