In This Room (Free verse) by GregDeEgg
The light in this room is filtered through curtains which glow like a flame textured in vinyl. The glass on my desk cool and condensing holds form to my milk which is elsewise lost. Salt in a shaker of metal and glass keeps my throat wet and my tongue sour. The gum at my left held tight in its package keeps my mind on the future to times when I'll need it. The Sprite at my right a dark empty can keeps my mind on the past as a lemon and lime.

Down the ladder: Love

Interesting. I like the pictures, there aren't enough around here. The sprite I don't like and the vinyl flames I don't understand. Very modern, very hip.

Simple, devoid of all angsty feeling. Wonderfully refreshheing after a slew of bitter, cynical, arrogant pity parties that some people try to call "poetry"
