broken nail (Free verse) by blackball
were you scratching at the surface? i thought i heard a noise from down below it was an image i couldn't erase; a primal clawing at the earth knowing i had done the right thing sitting alone finally peace quiet a shining moment in my dull life the night sky engulfed my mind and i was left to think of nothing for once, this made me happy a single chalk-yellow light on a snow covered street

Up the ladder: Vanity
Down the ladder: Maria

what does the primal clawing have to do with the street lamp's light? can you please make a nice neat package out of this one?
