battle within, graceful losing (Free verse) by brazen
desperate days call out spreading words across the wind never listened to them never could understand how to live life like a man. caught a few stray echoes took the credit as my own never filled the chasm never could stand strong now i am some other man. step back from yourself listen to the ticking time never saw that inside me never could be everything now i am a shadow of a man. gently gliding through memories sweet oil with bitter vinegar never found a medium ground never could survive between now i am lost inside a man. desperate measures call in favors plunged into the valley of my mind never listened to the inside never could understand how to take the life of a man.

Up the ladder: Snake Oil
Down the ladder: plain

merry christmas. your poetry is getting stronger.the poets life, his calling, is to the 'struggle', to the 'word'. god was a poet, and we are all god through that gift. the gift of communication for a better sense of what it means to be 'here'. you were born a poet. we all were.H
