PRAYER OF ECHOES (Free verse) by MEMORIES
The calling of your name, but the echoes still remain. The voice that sings the songs, no longer belongs. A shadow of where we were, has turned into a blur. Tears in my eyes, as they finally realize. Sadness fills my heart, as my soul and I drift apart. As I look into his face, I can feel nothing but disgrace. I lye here in a daze, thinking of many ways. Many Ways to escape the blade, to leaves this game, a haunting charade. Dying helpless in hell of fear, close my eyes, I see heaven is near. Wounded flesh, inflicted with pain, how much more will I sustain. One last time I gasp for air, Then fade into death whispering a prayer...... Heaven help me for you can see, I am no longer the woman I used to be. Batttered body, broken soul, My heart is bleeding, a gapping hole. Pushed into death, without a choice, Wanted to scream but stripped of a voice. Hear me in this silent prayer, all I wish is an end to this despair.

Not all poetry has to rhyme, and if it does, there are many other rhyme scemes than "aa, bb, cc, etc".

I like it. Poetry doesn't have to rhyme at all!! I can tell this came from the heart!! a heart that was broken! I gave it a 5 because i wasn't sure if you were killing yourself and i hope you weren't trying to!!!
