lackluster fear (Free verse) by blackball
Frigid, cold, dark and dreary. i feel this around my body and grab at the air for warmth. warm...i'm so cold yet you hold the sun. save me, rescue me from myself. i'm falling faster and faster into unconciouness. the monotone sound of their voices subdue me and my body starts to shut down. everything clogs. my face, my neck, everything. i can't stop it and it hurts me; it claws at my soul and cries for me. i am alone now, happy and snug, sweating under your blankets. was it a dream? it was all so real. i feel for scars and i find two that make no sense. crescent shaped on my legs. they've been there for years. i never noticed their significance until now. they are you. you knew me before this time and marked me as yours. i am your slave. feed me knowledge. make me your own. love me

I drowned in this deep river, you came from a clever angle on love here, sophisticated, and no holds barred.*8*

I assume you're American? That would explain the spelling 'lackluster'. Over here it's 'lacklustre', but that doesn't matter. Good work, 7 or 8, can't decide...

Interesting; obscure meaning is nice.
