Hold Tight (Free verse) by casey
The shadows were kind, Soft and mellow, They allowed me to see all, Yet go by unnoticed, I'll never know why you dragged me out, But I'm greatful, Sometimes under the spotlight I stumbled, Especially when you left my side. At times I was left alone and confused, I began to long for the shadows, But my heart clung to you, Despite the protests of my head. Then one day, I'm not sure why, You came beside me, Took my hand, And never let go. Now you stumble with me, And hold on tight.

Up the ladder: Mendacity
Down the ladder: A week of you

A moving eulogy, stanza 4 needs more connection, thought the ending was very true to life, work with it; see what you can do -6-
