Thawed (Free verse) by Roisin
Despite it's stunted days, Long nights and lethargy I'd begun to embrace the winter; Feel energised by still calm and Dormant magic, Comfortable with less light, More layers and Dead leaves in my path. You came back into my life Like a faded post-card, Arriving on my doorstep Three months too late. You made me mourn the end of summer. Threw me out of context. Stripped me down and left me standing naked on a frosty shore. Now the stone in my chest grows ever colder, Short day, Long night, Long night, Short day. Will you still be here when flowers bloom

Up the ladder: Discovery
Down the ladder: You

The first stanza is great--the rest not quite up to it, but still really well done overall.
