Letting my guard down, Leaving myself open. Trusting him with all of my soul, For the first time feeling completely safe. Then start the lies. The painful breakup. Believing his unthoughtful excuses, Thinking he'll someday return to me, Deep down knowing it's not true. When the moment comes, I can no longer deny what is, Realizing what he put me through I can no longer stay where I am. Surrounded by friends, Feeling more alone then ever. Not wishing for things, to be the way they were. But wanting the pain to end. Hoping to find someone worthy of my love, Who can care for me, Be there when I need him most. He'll hold me close and never let me go. When we're together the world will melt away. A true love that is so pure Will I ever find
