Poet's Rest (Free verse) by Brennan
So heard my soul its lonely call One cool November's windy night Where in my study I reside Holds but a weary candle's light And chiming once the hour past Elusive lies the day anew Untarnished slumber fills mine eyes While dreaming dreams as dreamers do Lay rested I in blissful sleep So seen my quill be set aside Yet raise it shall come early morn For lose it shall I not abide What hidden thoughts I still conceal May eyes forbidden never see Though leave your sight once cast away Within your mind forever be

Up the ladder: Dad
Down the ladder: Angers Blood!

A pointless poeme, but a decent effort nevertheless. 6. An enjoyable use of 30 seconds.

L10 should be "So seen my quill is set aside" otherwise a perfect lullabye.8.
