Remembering You (Free verse) by dalva
There are only a few memories in our lives that we will never forget. Some are sad and painful. . . others are of great joy. You my lady are one of the few that I hold so dear and so near to my heart. I thought I knew what it meant to feel alive... to experience life and the many great wonders it has. But from the moment I saw you, when my eyes met yours, when I heard your soft voice speak to me. . . I knew then that my life would take on a whole new meaning. From your kind and gentle ways, to the soft and subtle inner beauty that emits from your lovely being I was never going to be the same. I'm forever changed because you my dear have eclipsed my heart. Every time I look at a sunset, whenever I gaze at the stars, everything I do, and even in my dreams the cherished memory of you will never fade away from me.

Up the ladder: Why?

Sorry, but it doesn't do it for me. And I'm in a mean mood today. Too diffuse - try making it shorter and more intense.
