Jose Rizal(Our beloved) (Free verse) by Ninoy_Instigator
Let me tell you a story Of a man named Rizal He was a Filipino martyr Who saved us all The Spanish shot him down But it did them no good Because with his death The whole country suddenly stood In a state of rebellion His poetry sparked emotion His death was the final straw It was the magic potion Rizal's words were deep They defied Spanish logic Our children were mistreated So we fought with those who caused it. Bonifacio led the war And yes we did prevail Rizal's words were the key They made evil set sail But the war still isn't over The Spanish were not the threat The Americans came over And sentenced us to our death.

Up the ladder: Terror Too Tranquil
Down the ladder: Two Dimensional Lover

I think what you've done there is confused 'POETRY' with 'A DULL PROSAIC FABLE THAT IS BROKEN UP INTO LINES'.

Poetry can be whatever we want it to be. There's no need to make definitions.
