Just For Today (Free verse) by apples_tim
We hold onto the past and fail to see the future our lives slip away too fast If we take a second to see things clear stop running away from time we'd see that beauty was near With every breath taken imagine it's your first each new day, the sun's making a dandelion flower thirst Have no worries or fears today no pain, struggles, or tears make your heartaches go away close your mind from fear Enjoy your time of happiness sing songs of joy and peace take no pride in madness let love and truth release

Up the ladder: truth
Down the ladder: Heartless

'Gather ye rosebuds while ye may'... didn't Herrick write that? About five hundred years ago? And I'll take pride in my madness if I want to, thank you very much.
