A sky not our own (Free verse) by The Bard
We suffer together We suffer alone Waking each morn To a sky not our own Oh hurt we do Exquisite the pain Tis home we want To be there again. The dream of return Throbs in our soul To just go back To where we are whole Here, not there Not all is right. Something amiss A particle slight It looks the same But missing a part It has not the essence Which claims our heart Not quite a fit We can't find the beat Tis alien soil beneath our feet Adrift in our pain Oh how we do cry Just to greet the morn And see our own sky

Up the ladder: a clover or two
