skittles (Free verse) by Freethinker1602
you found a fun size bag of skittles or maybe it seems to have found you it was laying there, the colors still bright the wrapper crinkled and the edges torn though the packaging was damaged you opened the small bag for a closer look the goods inside were intact the colors so bright and vivid the little pieces looked so yummy they rattle happily in the bag their joyful sounds beckoning “eat some, we taste so fruity and sweet.” You can't resist, you reach your fingers in they feel pleasant and smooth between your fingers you raise one to your lips At first there is a rush while it crunches in your mouth then it gets fun and chewy the sweetness stinging slightly causing a tightness in your throat their color, aroma, taste and texture so addicting you can't stop, candy after candy you have consumed the skittles in their entirety the bag is empty, a husk of pleasure now, the skittles are a part of you and you place the bag in your breast pocket to protect the integrity and concept of their goodness

Reword this in a way that eliminates the duplicities. Like -bright colors-- you have more than once. Trust your reader. We've seen skittles. And enjoy them often!
