There sits a chair (Free verse) by Freethinker1602
There's an empty room and I am here alone a prisoner of my mind and it's just me, only me, I don't want this isolation I want to invite you in Here in this room there sits a chair and that is all in my head, a short film rewinds and restarts indefinitely over and over again I see the same images My head is on your shoulder with my hair going every where our arms embrace intertwining us our hearts and bodies are close our souls fusing we joyfully exhale in unison and though we've looked into each ohers' eyes at least one thousand times before we still see something new and captivating when I think hard enough I feel your smooth warm skin beneath mine the drag of my palms over your arms, chest, shoulders and face the feel of your soft, glossy hair between my fingers the weight of our bodies pressed together a gentle connection of blushing pilgrims this sanctuary does not eist it is a pretended confinement born from the strength of my heart I am waiting for a train to take me away back to where I want to be again in this room, isolated damn this isolation it was all a dream of the day in my head and surreal emptiness ever present I can't see you soon enough

Down the ladder: Winter comes
