Easter Egg Hunt (Free verse) by Dovina
After hunting hard, they sometimes discover inhomogeneities assume uncoagulated quarks then deduce that dark matter doesn’t act that way When they finally glean five percent of the total heft and infer with chagrin that twenty-five percent hides and seventy percent lurks unimaginable unobservable, probably as energy They long for the sweet past of productive quandary when electromagnetism led to KNX quantum mechanics to laser pens nuclear force to street lights and inverse squares to Sputnik The prize eludes them now up in the sky with what they used to know They move from pivotal to puerile back to presage the future to regain the plain path but find only distinctions sharply drawn, it seems where seeking and finding never meet To the winner comes a trip to Stockholm to the victor who finds the egg The hider of eggs a bit embarrassed he led them on this far finds his young charges quaint like rotary telephones

Up the ladder: Jasmine
Down the ladder: The Weather Channel

While freestrolling through comments here and there, I read a line of yours, going something like: did I see you in Kansas, staring at daisies?

Maybe you should try to write more by accident - this is one big deliberate bulk.

So what you're saying is that God looks down on the brightest of humans like we look down on rotary telephones?
