Heroes to the End (Lyric) by sliver
Thousands of valiant heroes,
Our brothers, sisters and friends
Have faught an ugly battle,
Vowed to see it to it's end.
Their bright red American blood
Now saturates the sand,
As we send more to take their places
In a violent foreign land.
Today we thank the families
Those still left behind,
The ones who live each day with loss
The deep, heart wrenching kind.
There is no consolation
Worthy of all your tears
I only hope your pain will soften
With healing through the years.
