Ad Infinitum (Free verse) by MacFrantic
Most un-mighty history Subtracting and extending All at once What vigorous suicide To keep the living from dying When the opposite is sought And tiny ocean architects Loft laughter from shore to shore Swallowing each other's glee Too feeble the wind Sputters upon a dwindling flame Whose tongue still mocks its breath Forwarned men Witnesses to disintegrating time Await the end building hovels While the women chase Children from the horizon Into their pathetic homes A luminescent line Retreats even from the eye Until darkness treats their gaze passes And begins again

Up the ladder: Harmony
Down the ladder: I said no salt!
