The Riddle (Other) by lexxie100
It’s that time of year again The one I can’t escape My senses are all perfected My mind, it wants to gape No thoughts can comprehend No heart can empathize The emotions all chaotic Though the world will see my guise Maybe one day order So my mind can return to me But for now the ecstasy continues Coaxing the sane to see Normalicy determined to rule In a world so diverse Yearnings that can't be ignored And an understanding poised as a curse My sanctuary is safe now The memories all preserved Can you solve my riddle? The knowledge will be well deserved

Up the ladder: the skyintific method
Down the ladder: thanks for shutting up

If there is a riddle here - I can't get it...Hidden messages in poems work the best when not even hinted at...I find the flow a bit messy too...but you got me curious???

sobriety anniversary, perhaps, but i do not think so. maybe a bout of mental illness, but minor, like seasonal defective disorder. or maybe just allergies.

anyhow, this could be more subtle in the way it is written and the rhyming is too forced, in my opinion. not all poetry needs to have an even meter and rhyme pattern; simple, effective groupings of words often convey a more powerful/clear message.

It's so hard to be clear; why would anyone try to be unclear.
