The Reflection of Tonight (Free verse) by SomeNewKill
Lets bring ourselves to the reflection of tonight. To the place where our thoughts replace our site. Bring ourselves to this apologetic state. Where we forgive ourselves for making our love wait. But keeping up with whos around. We cant forget who we've brought into this now. Tonight was a narrow hall. Doorways on the way leading to the memory of it all. You were here. In this bed. Not a thing was said. As if this memory was dead. Its never been more alive. Its never had to cause suspence. A sudden waking moment to leave our reflections bent. Rolling over and facing you laid. Looking for a new comfort in the bed long before made. Flipping through photos of the places we've been. Where we made desires out of a camera with a broken lens. Are you still here? I can feel you close by. Now awake. The brush of hand to remove hues of change from my eyes. There you are, with your arm around me like you escaped dreaming wounded by lying next to its scar. Only a few hours ago was tonight for you. But the necessity of sleep brought to you it's mirror. Walking down a hallway where my love was just passing through. The flash of camera, found you waking to a morning never clearer. Now you find yourself in my place. We are so perfect face to face. Again saying sorry for love's anticipation of voice. My eyes open, my favorite sound, these words of choice. I love you. And I love YOU. Always this bed finds the love of two.
