Hedging Bets (Lyric) by Miggy
Like a hurricane You were wet and wild Circling me for an eternity But when you left With your plans so vile All my dreams were now uncertainty Since you flew I hear all the news About your most recent hit-and-runs Yet miles away You think I’m your cruise Who’ll sail you to your morning sun (Chorus) You’re like a constellation of shooting stars Moving around, moving around With words cutting like knives, strong as iron bars Bringing me down, bringing me down Yet as a shadow you stalk my every step Hedging your bets, hedging your bets, Thinking I will easily forget (You’re) hedging your bets, hedging your bets Three years ago You stole my heart And my limbs because attached to strings Then without you I couldn’t start When the lights of life turn green Oh now you return Seeking shelter From those who didn’t fall to your trap Remembered me Who treated you better But within your plan I see your cracks (Chorus) Go away You ill-determined blood-sucking leech Go away With that hair a few shades too bleached Go away Before you make it worse for yourself Go away, go away, go away You don’t know what kind of pain I’ve felt (Chorus, Ending)
