is it this part,
where i am watching you
in the same way
that i might listen
to a quiet music
and you walking
across the room
like the loudest siren
fill me, empty me
or is there no part
for desire in love
and i am failing
when faced by you
in your summer shirt

something about the blandness of the last line loses me. Maybe you should just drop it... leaving the last line: "and i am failing/when faced by you"
