Wounding the Sovereign (Free verse) by MacFrantic
In words obscene we quarrel to massive finales We quarrel to take We quarrel to forget The sincerity of my statement is unmistakable When I tell you in a roundabout way That I love you dearly Each decade that bows our head is effortless What outreach upends me I may die to unclasp So I'll amount the due wounding of the sovereign To equality estranged And completed as one

Up the ladder: The Day After Next
Down the ladder: Replenished
