She Doesn't Love Me. (Free verse) by edgar-allen-poe-rox
The one I love does not want me. They say “if you love her, set her free” I never took her from the wild. So to me that expression isn’t worth while. It burns down to my very soul. And in my heart, there is a hole. She doesn’t know when or how she made it. I try to hide it, try to shade it. Its worked quite well, these past few weeks, Until the tears slide down my cheeks. She caused such pain, such agony, Pain to yours truly, pain to me. I do not hate her, I couldn’t if I tried, My love for her is as the world is wide. I wouldn’t tell her if I could, I couldn’t, even though I should. I tried to convince her, tried beyond belief, I tried so hard, my god, good grief, It didn’t work it never has I love her forever be it future be it past. She likes me as a friend and nothing more, I love her forever, forever more
