Legless Insecurity (Free verse) by PoeticXTC
I leg press twice my own weight.
Strong legs like solid statues of stone.
But sometimes the pressure is too much.
The weight on my shoulders overwhelming
the strength of the stone
and the stone breaks,
and crumbles like peanut brittle.
My will power shatters like broken glass,
forming fragments of insecurities.
No one is to blame but me.
