The Flame of My Country (Free verse) by sylbaryn
The flame of my country is a cruel one The honour climbs like a serpent Within the expanse is nothing Yet devils dance without sound Are the remains within reason The fisherman's catch is a poor one The book is a guide But the ring is music from design To bury your head from the pirate When the stars cry out for their pain The lady discloses her secret For the flame of my country is a cruel one

Up the ladder: Tearz of a Thug Misses
Down the ladder: The Masks of Leon J.

I stumbled through the reading of this, both due to its (overly?) cryptic nature, and that I couldn't really find a flow in it. Especially "The book is a guide/ But the ring is music from design". And are the stars crying out for pain or from pain? or is it not the stars' pain... hmm... like I said, cryptic. And a bit confusing. :)
