awakening (Free verse) by pollywolly
alone, i, a forlorn figure stands, gazing below with cold glassy eyes upon the rising storm of a wild autumn morn cold and grey i see her as she rises throwing her wild untameable self upon the once warm and golden shore behind her the mother of light creases the horizon desperately trying to cast some warmth into my soul she pierces her shadow upon me a fallen child of her world and gives to me some hope

Up the ladder: Steps
Down the ladder: The Prince
