Virgin (Free verse) by MacFrantic
Loneliness That calls me back As I wonder what love is like How can I write of two When I know but one in this Loneliness? The touch Wanting more in nothing Than I ever wanted in everything And hearing the atmosphere Pulse with emotion To write this Is to lie Is to wither within And I am sick of it all

Up the ladder: Spirit In a Temple
Down the ladder: Beware of Cruel Poets

Second verse, lines 2 and 3 don't make a clear
statement, at least to me. Good basics here - needs spit and polish.

It's a lot like being a virgin, except that you get to have sex.
