My thoughts and I (Free verse) by bdub420
Together our heart beats as one. Living this land, for our kingdom. With faint memories on my past well spent. Reaching out for a hand to be lent. Loneliness, so dark, so cold. (I gotta live like this until I'm old?) Imprisoned by my own fears. Defending the fall of my final tears. May we unite 'til the very end. Returning the favor with a hand to lend.

Up the ladder: Presence Of Life
Down the ladder: on a climb

It's quite simple, like a song, which makes it effective but telling instead of showing, which bores me a bit.
